20世紀から21世紀へと移り変わる節目である今年は、昨年に引き続きさまざまな問題が何かに押し出されるかのように顕在化した一年であった。
今我々の気持ちを大きく支配しているのは、様々な意味の不安だ。池田小学校事件から、ニューヨークの同時多発テロ、パレスチナ問題、狂牛病、デフレスパイラル等、明日が混沌として見えない状況がある。その中で我々は生きており対応を迫られている。今年のこのような状況を、JIDA DMセレクションVol.4の背景として捉えてみたい。 |

The Fourth JIDA Design Museum Selection and the Social Background of Japan, 2001 This year is the turning point from the 20th to the 21st century. Without a break, this year has created many problems. It was like pushing them out. Our feeling were occupied by many anxieties. For example, the case at the Ikeda primary school and the multiple terror in N.Y., the problem of Palestine, the mad cow disease, the deflation spiral, etc. We cannot see tomorrow, because it is so chaotic. In the situation we are living in , we look for countermeasures. We try to understand the background of the Fourth JIDA Design Museum Selection from the condition of this year. |
