| 関西大震災をきっかけに一般の生活に登場し日常生活の一部になった。周りを見回しても、なんらかのかたちで参加している人が多い。若い人からリタイアした人までその範囲は広い。ボランティアを自分の就職の選択の重要な要素としている若い人も多い。高齢者社会を迎えその活動は大きな意味を持ってきている。また就職状況のさらなる悪化の中で若者の意識が変化しており、新しい価値観を持ち生きていかなければならない状況がある。 |
Volunteers have been a part of the usual life since the Great Kobe Earthquake. When I look, I can find people joining in for something. They come from a vast range of backgrounds, from young people to those in the retirement age. There are young people taking to volunteering as one of the important elements of their employment. In the coming old age society, the volunteer has a much more important meaning. Under the condition that employment is getting worse, the sense of young people is changing. We have a new value in our own life. | ||

| 2001年11月の完全失業率が過去最悪の5.5％になった。中でも男性の失業率が高く正社員の数が減っている。派遣社員、フリーターが増加しているのと一致して、企業は正社員を雇う意志を失っている。 | 5.5% marked the worst record of the percentage of full unemployment in November 2001. Especially, it is a high percentage of unemployment for man, decreasing regular employment. There is an increase of dispatch employees and part-time workers. With this phenomenon, the industry has no will to get regular employees. | ||

| 友人との話題の一つに子供のことがある。多くの家庭でフリーター状態にある子供を抱えている確率が高い。「お前の家もそうか！」という感じである。今の底知れぬ不況の中で就職先もなく、終身雇用も信じられなく、大企業の安定性も怪しくないる。このような中で若者は自分の価値観で進路を決めざるをえなくなる。フリーター状態はごく自然な環境となっている。 | One of the topics I discuss with my friend is children. The probability of a part-timer child in a family is high. It's like "And, your house, too!" Now, it is the age of recession, the condition is bottomless, no chance for employment, no one believes in the system of lifetime employment and the industry is not stable. In these times, young people have to make decisions with values of their own. The part-timer is very much a usual condition. |
