The case of killing and wounding by brutal offenders and the repeated occurrence of terror at the same time in America. These things pressed the hearts of the citizens. Because of this they are much more interested in safety and health. | ||

| TVの画像で見続けていた人が多いと思う。何を観ていたのだろうか。現代の世界が抱えている問題がすべてここに表れてしまった。グローバル化に対して出てきた「文明の激突」との見方もある。世界は繋がっている、何をしても繋がっている。簡単に言いきれることではない。 | I think many people have watched the TV pictures. What have we seen? A problem of the modern world has appeared here. There is one point of view, "The Clash of Cultures", coming from globalization. The world becomes widely. There is no doubt. | 「なぜ？」こんなことが起きてしまうのか。あまりにもひどい。いつ、何処が安全なのか？子供たちは大丈夫なのか？常に不安を抱える時代になってしまった。そんな時代を問いかけるような、学校を舞台にしたドラマが各局でTV放映された。「命の尊さや生きることの大切さ」について先生からそして生徒から共に教えられ「一緒に考えよう」というメッセージが込められていた。 | "Why?" Why do crimes like this happen? It is so cruel. Where is there safety for us? Are the children all right? The times look as though we might have to stay anxious. The TV presented the drama that was staged in the school. They have themes which gives questions for this era. The messages is "to live and life are important" and it is teaching teachers and students that we must think about it together. | ||

| 「牛肉を食べるのが恐ろしい！」そんな人が多いと思う。所得が増えると牛肉の消費が上がるという構図が崩れている。国の行政に対する信用がガタ落ちだ。いろいろな事件があったが、この不安は非常に大きい。日常の食生活が信じられなくなってしまい、食品を買うときいちいちその成分をチェックしているが、チェックしても何処まで安全かわからない絶望感がある。何を食べたらよいのか！ | "I'm afraid to eat beef!" Many people now feel like that. It was said that the increase of the income increases the consumption of beef. But this logic does not exist any more . Trust in the administration | ||

| こんな逆境の中、宮崎駿監督のアニメ映画「千と千尋の神隠し」は観客動員2,500万人を超え、「ユニバーサルスタジオジャパン」と「東京ディズニーシー」二つのテーマパークが話題となる。また米国の大リーグではイチロー、新庄選手たちがおおいに活躍して私たちに感動を与えてくれた。 |
In such an unfortunate situation, the animation movie "Spirited away ", directed by Hayao Miyazaki, mobilized more than 250 million peaple to watch it. The two theme parks "Universal Studios Japan" and "DisneySea" became topics. The players Ichiro and Shinjyo made nice activities. Moving emotions become very good for us. |
