This undertaking, which began in 1998, now takes place for the 12th time with satisfactory content. The activities of the JIDA Design Museum focus on the field of excellent industrial design. The endeavor to connect with the next generation and to gain public understanding for the rich possibilities that design holds are the goals of our activities. With social conditions changing every year, there are new products that reflect these conditions, and the hopes and desires of people living in the respective times are condensed in the products.
Designers sensitively react to people's feelings and shape the way things are or should be. These things can instantly disappear at times of mass production and mass consumption and should be saved in time as a record. The JIDA Design Museum accumulates knowledge and records the times through designed products.
