従来の歩数計は1軸センサーが主流で、計測するためには腰の周りのベルトなどに、固定しなければならなかった。しかし、3軸センサーを採用することで、固定して計測する必要がなくなり、ポケット、カバンの中、あるいは首から下げておけば、自動的に体の動きを歩数としてカウントしてくれる。そのため、人目を気にせず使用できることで、若者層をターゲットとした商品開発をしている。カラーも選びやすいバリエーションを展開し、女性の夜の一人歩きに防犯ブザーを付けるなど、今までにない工夫を取り入れている。更にこの製品は歩数計市場で「3軸センサー搭載ブーム」を牽引した製品でもある。

| Old pedometers only had a one-axis sensor, and so they had to be attached to a belt worn around one's waist for proper measurement. By using a three-axis sensor, this product, however, has removed the restriction of a fixed position: It can be put in one's pocket or carried in a bag or even be worn around one's neck and it then automatically counts the movements of the body as steps. Therefore, it can be used without being noticed by others. Its target group is the young generation. It is available in many different colors. In addition, it is also equipped with a unique crime prevention feature, an alarm, which is especially useful for women who have to walk unaccompanied after nightfall. This product initiated the boom of the three-axis sensor in the pedometer market. |
