ステンレスのインゴットから削り出され、使いやすいようにとどちら側にも設置された両側カッター刃までをも一体のものとして削り出している。また上半分をスパッと切り取った様はいかにも潔い粋を感じさせる気持ちの良いほどエッジの効いたデザインだ。デザイナー秋田氏はこれを表し「行き着いた」と言う。デザイナーの想いとそれを具現化するつくり手、当たり前のようだが意外に難しいものだ。デザイナーに「行き着いた」と言わしめるメーカーの理解力、技術力にも敬意を表したい。

| The dispenser was milled from a stainless steel ingot. It features two cutter blades that are integrated into the body and that enable easy use from both sides. The dispenser's sharply cut upper half gives an impression of pureness. The overall design has a certain edge to it. As the designer Mr. Akita expressed it, it is a design that "has arrived at its best point." It materializes the designer's and the users' feelings. This is something one would expect from a design, but it is surprisingly rarely achieved. I would like to express my respect for the power of such an understanding lso with regard to technical aspects as they were realized by the manufacturer. All this truly gives you the feeling that it "arrived at its best point." |
