The "JIDA Museum Selection" promoted by the Japan Industrial Designers' Association (JIDA) is celebrating its 12th exhibition. The association has been able to continue the design museum activity for such a long time with the support and cooperation of the different parties involved, and we are greatly thankful.
Last fall, as a part of the Japan Design Museum concept promoted by the Council of the Japan Design Association (D8), an exhibition was held at the Ginza Mikimoto Hall. For this exhibition, exhibits were chosen from the many items submitted for the "JIDA Museum Selection".
Furthermore, in 2011, the "Shinshu Shinmachi Year 2011" project will start in Shinshu Shinmachi in Nagano where the JIDA museum is located, and as a part of the project, our association will co-host the "Shinshu Shinmachi Museum Design Exhibition" (temporary). This exhibition is planned to be held in June, and the items submitted for the DM selection will also be exhibited during this exhibition.
As previously indicated, our association promotes the design museum activity as a matter of high public interest and we are aiming to expand this undertaking even further.
We sincerely ask for your continued support and cooperation in the future. |
