The JIDA Design Museum Selection, which is organized by the Japan Industrial Designers Association (JIDA), will be celebrating its 10th anniversary. We were so fortunate as to receive a great amount of support and to select a wide variety of products for this year's JIDA Museum Selection Vol.10. With this presentation of the Design Museum's activities and also by loans to various other design exhibitions, the products contributed to this Selection can be evaluated thoroughly and thus help to contribute to the guidelines of how to think about the past, the present, and the future of design. JIDA perceives design as a part of our life and culture and considers it an important resource that has to be made available to the next generation.
Currently, our activities are not only focused on the field of product design, but, with the support of eight design groups, we are also setting forth the idea of a Japanese Design Museum.
To be able to promote this project further, we would kindly like to ask for your support and cooperation in the context of the future pursuit of JIDA's selection project.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the Ishibashi Foundation and the Axis Corporation, as well as to many other companies who have cooperated on the JIDA Design Selection Vol.10.
