TENSIONと同様、竹の特徴を活かしている製品である。竹を部分的に削り、吊り下げ用金属バーは竹のしなりを利用し固定され、引っ掛ける金具を付けるという極めて少ない生産工程だ。構成部品も少なくシンプルで美しい商品である。竹は抗菌、脱臭性に優れており、若干の吸湿効果もあるという。形のみではなく素材の特徴を余すところなく利用している点においても評価できる商品である。

| TENSION has very well taken advantage of the characteristics of bamboo products. The production process is extremely low-tech: the manufacturers cut the bamboo partially and pass a metal bar through it using the curvature of the bamboo. Then, metal brackets are attached. But this is a beautiful product, because of the effect of the simple process of production and its parts. Bamboo has superior antibacterial and deodorizing qualities and also a little hygroscopic effect. I can give the product my appraisal for the point that it utilizes not only the characteristics of its shape, but also the characteristics of the material. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
