直管蛍光灯はこれまで設備用の光源としてオフィスや公共施設で使われるのが常で、住宅照明してはあまり歓迎されてはいなかった。よほど上手にデザインしないと無機質的な堅さが出てしまい、くつろぎの空間を壊してしまう危険性を持っている。有名なルイスポールセンのPH5に似た器具内間接光のものは世の中に数多くあるが、この製品は直管蛍光灯器具に適用しており一線を画すものになっている。1.4メートルを超えるダイナミックな水平ラインと斜めにカットされたエンド部のデザインが美しい。3枚の反射板のカーブは光源が直接目に入らないようにしながらも、テーブル面はしっかりと、側方の隙間からは器具自体を美しく照らすようにデザインされている。徹底的に隠されたネジや、長手のダイニングテーブルをしっかり照らしながらも32Wという省エネを達成している点も注目に値する製品である。

| Direct fluorescent tube lights are often used has a light source for public facilities like offices, but weren't welcome as lighting in private residences. If not designed well, they will look inorganically stiff, threatening to ruin the space for relaxing. There exist many indirect lights similar to Louis Poulsen's famous "PH5", but this product is suitable for direct lighting and distinguishes itself from other products. The dynamic horizontal line of over 1.4 meters in length and the design of the end part, which has been cut diagonally, are beautiful. The curve of the three reflectors is angled so that the light source won't enter the eyes directly, but illuminate the side of the table. This is designed nicely in such a way that the pendant itself is illuminated beautifully at the opening on either side. This product deserves attention for thoroughly hiding all screws, illuminating long dining tables while saving energy with only 32 watt. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
