耐衝撃性と簡易防塵性を有したポータブルハードディスク。Preciousの外装ステンレスカバーは、従来多くの類似性能を目指した商品が採用しているアルミ素材に比較し数倍の耐変形性を誇る。しかし製造単価が高いという難点もあり価格の厳しいPC周辺機器において、メーカーとしてはブランドイメージの確立と維持をかけた仕様決定だったのではと察する。一方デザインからは新たなポータブルユースを意識した提案を感じさせる。ポータブルHDは飛躍的な大容量化がはかられ、使い慣れたPC環境（OSを含めた必要なデータ）を持ち歩き、出先の別のPCをこれで立ち上げ自分のPCと同様の環境で利用できるようになった。ある意味ポータブルHD自身がPCだという考え方もできる。Preciousのデザインは、PC周辺機器には数少ない、単体としての主演性を感じる。つまり脇役ではなく前述のような新しい役割を暗示しているのだ。大切なものを入れ持ち歩くメタル製カバンにも似た大人のテーストを漂わせる。

| Logitec's < Precious > is a shock-proof and dust-proof portable hard disk. Compared to similar products with aluminum casings, the stainless steel casing of < Precious > has a several times stronger resistance to deformation. However, there was a difficult point, and that were high unit manufacturing cost. In the market of PC peripherals where pricing is highly competitive, it can be imagined that the manufacturer decided on this specification to establish and maintain the brand image. On the other hand, the design gives a feeling that it was designed with a proposal for a new way of portable use in mind. This portable HD has been modified to have more capacity and it makes it possible to take one's familiar PC environment anywhere, and it works with Windows or Mac OS X environments alike. This allows users to start-up a different PC with their own HD and use it with an environment similar to their own PC. In a way, it can be said that this portable HD itself is a PC. The design of < Precious > asserts itself as a unit, which is not seen that often in PC peripherals. This is a hint that < Precious > is not a supporting player, but plays a new role as described above.
