特に大型の楽器は日本の住宅事情にはなかなか馴染みにくいものではなかっただろうか。置き場所の問題や音に対して近隣への配慮などがあるからである。しかし、これまでセレクションに選定してきた一連のヤマハ楽器商品を眺めると、ヤマハの取り組みはプロを満足させるのはもちろんのこと、一般に対しても楽器を楽しむハードルを低くし、「所有したい、演奏してみたい」と思わせるデザインの強い力を感じさせる。この＜クラビノーバ CLP-F01＞も、昨今の多様化した住宅事情にピアノの独特な存在感がそぐわなくなっているという状況に対しデザイン面を大幅に改善し対応している。ピアノの独特な黒く光沢感のある表面処理などを含め、電子ピアノをゼロから構成し直したという。蝶番の大きさや形にまでこだわり、スリムでシンプルな形態でまとめている。カラーリングも上品な4色をそろえ、インテリアにマッチするデザインを追及している。反面、鍵盤など演奏に関係する箇所の寸法等には、高い製造技術や音の品質を守るため一切手は加えられておらず、演奏品質と外観との調和を図っている。ピアノの演奏を楽しむのに、「ここにしか置けない」と置き場所が限られる時代から、「ここに置きたい」と自由自在に置き場所を変えインテリアの中で楽しめる時代となり、所有するためのハードルがまたひとつ下げられたと感じる。

| It is especially difficult to adapt large-sized musical instruments to the housing situation in Japan, since there are storage problems and the issue noise disturbance for the neighbors. But looking at the various digital musical instruments by Yamaha, which have been included in JIDA's selection, I feel the strong power of design. These not only meet the requirements of professionals, but they are also made for the general user who thinks: "I would like to have such an instrument and play it." With these instruments it is easy to make and enjoy music. This is also the case with the < Clavinova CLP-F01 >, which is also characterized by an advanced design. The design corresponds to today's housing situation, which is not fit for traditional pianos. For the < Clavinova CLP-F01 >, the traditional piano was re-designed. This model features the unique, black and glossy finish of the acoustic piano. It is particular about shape and size of hinge. The shape feature a slim and simple appearance, and the model elegantly combines four colours to match the contemporary interior. Having said that, some parts of the piano related to the direct play, e.g. the keyboard, have the same size as usual. These are kept for high quality manufacturing technology and for brilliant quality of sound during playing the piano. In all, this results in harmonizing performance and appearance. One used to say "You can only play the piano here and not at home", but now, it is the time when pianos can be easily moved and enjoyed at home, and we can say: "You can place and play a piano only at home!" Due to all this, the obstacles for having one's own piano can easily be overcome. |
