下肢障害者にとっての車椅子は健常者にとっての靴の様な存在だ。毎朝の靴選びは、
靴を家の中で履く習慣の無い私たち日本人にとって外出する一日の始まりを意味し、 その日の行動や服装によってその選択が変わる。 車椅子利用者にとって、最近は室内専用車や外出後のタイヤの汚れを取り除く器具の登場など、使用環境や場所の違いで使い分けが出来る状況が整いつつある。ユニバーサルデザインが叫ばれている現在、精神的にも心豊かに暮らせる環境づくりは至極当たり前の事と考えるべきだろう。そうした意味でこの製品はヘッドレストを取り外せるなどの融通性や元気なカラーリングの採用で、遊び心をワクワクさせるスニーカー感覚の車椅子に仕上がっている。また単に印象としてのスポーティーさだけでなく、専用車の取り付け装置を介して装着すると最大20Gに耐えられるタフさも併せ持つ。 家族や友人と一緒に、あるいは一人で天気の良い日に履いて出かけたくなる車の着いた靴である。 |

| This wheelchair is like a shoe for people with walking disabilities. For Japanese people, the selection of shoes in the morning marks the beginning of a new day on which they are going to go out, since it is not their habit to wear shoes in the house. The selection depends on the dress and on the activities ahead. Recently, new devices have been developed for wheelchairs that take into account the demands for their use in different environments. With, for example, a device for cleaning the tires after an outing available, wheelchairs can be used as private cars at home as well as outside. Now there is a great demand for a universal design that is highly functional in the abovementioned respect but also gives a good overall feeling. The design of this particular product gives the wheelchair a "sneaker feeling". It conveys a mood of playfulness. So, for example, the removable headrest is offered in a variety of colors. The resulting overall impression is not only sporty but also robust. In addition, it can easily be combined with a lifting device for cars. When the weather is good, I want to use this chair as my car, my shoes, for an outing with my family and friends. |
