一見したとき、実にシンプルで美しい固まり感を持った造形だと思った。
自分が主役だと言わんばかりの「デザイン家電」として括るには素っ気なく、かと言って脇役でもない。その存在は静かで艶やかな魅力に満ちている。
今の時代ネガティブに捉えられがちな「控え目」「遠慮」などという言葉が思い浮かぶ。強い意思を持ったうえで、いかなる環境にも馴染む日本の良い文化であったはずだ。 長く付き合うこの種の家電は「日常の道具」として存在する事も重要な要素で、結果あらゆるテイストの空間に馴染み飽きを感じさせない。 ＜ZUTTO＞は操作部もシンプルで、殆どの操作スイッチがピクトグラム表記され、うまくユニバーサル化されている。 単に造形のシンプル化を狙うのではなく、秩序ある判断のもとに商品の性質や外観、ディティールが追求された良いデザインと評価したい。 「長く使って欲しい」という造り手の思いをストレートに表現した＜ZUTTO＞という ネーミングも好感が持てる。 |

| When I looked at this for the first time, I thought that the truly simple modelling of this product gave a beautiful impression. This product is not the "the designer home appliance". It is too simple to be that. However, it is not just a "supporting actor". Its appearance reminded me of the words "moderate" and "modest". Nowadays, people consider them as negative. Originally, they stood for a positive quality of Japanese culture, which adapted to every environment. This is the kind of home appliance that is associated with durability and daily use. A very important characteristic due to which it fits any environment and one will never be weary of it. The functional part of < ZUTTO > is simple: The functions of most switches are explained by of pictograms which can be universally understood. The name of this product, < ZUTTO >, expresses the thought that we might want to use it for a long time. It gives us a straight and good impression. |
