個人の位置情報を知らせるIT機器は他にもいくつかあるが、位置の確認、依頼者への通知、対処員の現場急行、対象人の確保、と言う「安心」を構築したシステムは＜ココセコム・人用＞が初めてだろう。
机上のプランだけでは満たされない「安心」を、そのシステムの中に人間（対処員）を介入させることで安心を倍増させた。 デザイナーは本機を「お守り」に見立てたと言う。神頼みする心理的安心感だけでは生み出せない実利的部分をIT技術が担っている。この現実的安心感を巧みに包み込んだデザインは好感が持てる。 |

| There are many types of IT solutions that provide information about a personﾕs location. But I think that the ﾒCOCO-SECOM for personsﾓ is the first system that establishes real security: It can locate an individual carrying the device and inform clients of the ownerﾕs actual position, which secures the person in question. So, safety, which can never be planned adequately at a desk, doubles, because of the intervening person in this system. Some say, the designer of this system views it as a ﾒmagic charmﾓ, while the utility part is covered by IT technology. It is not possible to create a mental feeling of safety, but I have a favorable impression of this new productﾕs design. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
