日本での盗難車数ワースト一位は兵庫県でその検挙率は12%（2002年統計）にとどまっていると聞いた。ハンドルや車輪のロック、また振動を感知し大音響を発する撃退方法などさまざまな防犯用具が提案されているものの、残念ながらその被害は一向に減らない。＜ココセコム・車両用＞は盗難時の早期発見にその威力を発揮する。
それは、本機設置車両の位置を知らせ（GPS+携帯電話通信網利用）警備会社が必要に応じてその車両を捜索すると言う一連のシステムだ。 今後「ユビキタス社会」が進む中、車両（あるいは車両以外でも）が自己情報の発信を行うという意味においてこのシステムは規模の大きなユビキタスネットワークを形成している。このように考えると盗難報知だけにとどまらず、固有車両情報の多くを発信し他IT機器との連携で新たなコミュニケーションシステムに育つ可能性をも秘める自己防衛システムとして評価したい。 |

| Someone said, that the Hyougo Prefecture is famous for the highest number of car thefts, while the clearance rate is about 12% (according to the statistics of 2002). Many types of equipment for crime prevention are available, from devices for locking the handles and the wheel to deterrents using vibration or noises. However, unfortunately the numbers are still not decreasing. The COCO-SECOM for vehicles utilizes the advantage of early detection of a theft. This product has a special response system: Using GPS and mobile phone networks, the exact position of a car equipped with a special device can be located very quickly, and so the security company can find the stolen car much faster. This is how the ﾒubiquitous societyﾓ can develop. In an incident as described above, the system will dispatch information about the car (or its environment) by itself. It forms a comprehensive network on a large-scale. If I use this concept, I want to see it as a type of self-protection system. It not only gives details about the theft, but also a lot of information about oneﾕs own car and this has the potential to become a new communication system by the connection of different applications and end devices. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
