＜クレドール スプリングドライブ＞は、ゼンマイ式腕時計の精度をより高めたいと言う熱望で開発された新機構が採用されている。
この新機構は、セイコーエプソンが1980年代に開発に着手し商品化まで20年を要したと言う。精度は従来の機械式では無理と思われた「一ヶ月進度誤差±15秒以内」とクオーツ並の精度を実現した。 デザインは20世紀のゼンマイ式腕時計のスタンダードを21世紀に引き継ぐことを狙ったと思われ、職人の技と独自のテクノロジーを随所に感じさせる仕上がりだ。 商品の長寿命を意識し、全体的には古典的ながら、ダイヤル面の「日本庭園」や「自然」を微細に表現した様は見る者の心を和らげてくれる。大人のデザインを表現した逸品。 |

| The ﾒCredor Spring Driveﾓ uses a new mechanism, which was developed with the aim to create a high-precision spring-driven wristwatch. Seiko Epson began on the development of this new mechanism in the eighties, so one could say that its completion took 20 long years. Its actual precision is an error of plus/minus 15 seconds a month, the same as that of a quartz watch, and I think that up to now, this was impossible. The design aims at establishing the standard style for a spring-driven wristwatch taking it from the 20th to the 21st century. When examining the resulting product, one can see the many techniques used by the craftsmen and the original technology. This design is made for longtime use. There are different patterns on the dial to choose from like, for example ﾒJapanese gardenﾓ or ﾒNatureﾓ. This is wonderful design that expresses a mature product. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
