JIDAデザインミュージアムセレクションVol.4展によせて
「生活からの発想とデザインの成熟」

4回目を迎えた今セレクション事業では、回を重ねて来たことによる認知度の高まりを、出展いただいた各企業のご対応ででも感じ取ることができました。
また本事業に対し今回で二年目となる財団法人石橋財団からの助成により制作れた図録は、記録に残る実績であるとして様々な方より評価の声をいただいております。財団法人石橋財団の助成に対しましてはこの場を借りて厚く御礼申しあげます。
このような皆様からの声やご支援に応えする意味でも、また今展をJIDA50周年記念事業の一つと捉える意味においても、今展をできるだけ全国多くの皆様にご覧いただこうと考えております。現在、各方面のご協力によって四月の東京展を皮切りに大阪、長野、名古屋などへの巡回展が計画されております。
今セレクションの商品選定過程は、JIDA会員内外より約30名の選定委員を公選し、同時に全国のJIDA会員から選定候補品の推薦を募りました。その中から選定委員による審議で選ばれた選定候補品について、対象企業へ出展交渉を行いご賛同いただき決定したものが今回ご覧いただくセレクション品です。
私たちの気持ちとデザイナーの心がモノや展を通して皆様に届くことを願っております。

The Forth JIDA Design Museum Selection

Now, the selection business is for the 4th time. We can feel from the interaction with the industry, which exhibits their products, that every time everyone better knows we're in business. The production of the catalog for this business is supported for the second time by the Ishibashi Foundation. Everyone says, it is a viable mark on the record. On this occasion, I want to say thank you very much to the Ishibashi Foundation. We think this exhibition must be shown to as many people as possible in this country as a commemoration of the JIDA's 50-year anniversary of its foundation and for the opinion and support from everyone. Now, we are planning a touring exhibition , with help from many people in many fields. It is beginning in Tokyo in April, and later, it is going to Osaka, Nagano and Nagoya etc. The product selection process is now as following: first, about 30 people as a selection committee are chosen by the public . They are members and non members of JIDA. At the same time, we make an appeal to nominate candidate products for selection to JIDA members in Japan. Among these products, candidate products for selection are chosen in deliberations by the selection committee. About these products, we try to negotiate their exhibition with the industry, which is producing them, asking for their approval. In this way, the selection of products we can show you is decided. I hope ours and the designers feelings reach you through products or the exhibition.
