店頭でこのポットを見てすぐ欲しくなってしまった。古典的な製造方法をとりながらも＜ヨホー＞は新鮮な感覚でデザインされ、現代の生活の中で日本的な要素をしっかり取り込めるものになっている。
伝統和鉄（わずく）製法を応用して造られており、口もとの水切れが良く、湯がさめにくいので、お茶（緑茶、紅茶、中国茶等）を淹れるのに適している。 いまデザインを考えるとき、「日本が持っている伝統」が大きな意味を持つ。このポットはそれを見事に表現し、伝統的な日本の形を現代の生活シーンに合わせデザインされている。別の観点から見ると工芸とプロダクトデザインの境界をつないだとも言え、デザインの原点を示してくれている。 伝統的な製作手法を用いながら、すでに一万数千個を販売しているという。 |

| As soon as I saw this pot in the front of a shop, I wanted to buy it. This "yohoo" is not only using the method of traditional processing, but it is designed with a fresh feeling. With it, the user can bring a Japanese element in to the modern life. This pot was made with a traditional Japanese iron processing method (called Wazuku). It is good for putting tea in (green tea, black tea, Chinese tea, etc) because the spout is very good and it is difficult for the hot water to cool. If we think about design, "tradition of Japan" has a big meaning. This pot expresses that very well, design, which has a Japanese traditional shape fits to the modern scene of life. And from another point of view, it connects the boundary line between craft and product design. It shows the starting point of design. It uses a traditional processing method, but I heard that it has already sold more than ten thousand times. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
