今では当たり前のように多くの建築、ディスプレー、プロダクト等に使われているワイヤーグリップシステム。 従来、非常に厄介であったワイヤーの支持、調整を、ボールベアリングとコイルスプリングからなる「グリッパー」と呼ばれる支持本体の開発によって簡便なものにしたのが荒川技研工業のワイヤーグリップシステムである。 その中の＜シーリングメイトシリーズ＞は線径φ1.0 〜1.2ｍｍのステンレス撚線ワイヤーを基本に展開し、多くの空間、取付状況、デザインに対応した、より汎用性の高いシステムとなっている。 考え抜かれた取付、支持、調整システムを備えた＜シーリングメイトシリーズ＞のアピアランスは、優れた建築、ディスプレイ、プロダクトの設計、デザインに大きく寄与している。

| The wire grip system is now used for many architectural designs, displays and products. Up to now, there was trouble with the support of the wire and the control. These troubles are becoming simple and easy to save with the development of the "gripper" as the supporting component, constructed by a ball bearing and coil spring. It is called the wire grip system by the Arakawa technical research institute. One of those systems developed, called "wire grip mini series", is based on the use of stainless twisted threads. The wire has a diameter of 1.0 - 1.2 mm. This is a highly general-purpose system that is sufficient for many spaces, conditions of installation and design. The appearance of the "wire grip mini series" gave equipment for installation, supporting and conditioning systems. They are thoroughly considered.
